PPA is stronger than ever, with record membership and attendence atIUSA. for the last four years. Perhaps the biggest change to directly effectthe membership is the elimination of the requirement to be certified in orderto recieve a Master’s degree. The certification program will remain under thePPA umbrella but function as a seperate enity. This will give certificationmore credialbilty with the general public and also open the doors to expandthe certification program to other photographic specialities.
The biggest challenge I face as a councilman is representing the membershipthat elected me with little to no input from them. I would love to hearyour questions, concerns and suggestions. Feel free to call Roscoe or I at anytime. We may not be able to respond to your concerns immediately, but wewill certainly do our best to find answers or point you in the right direction.I encourage everyone to check out the forum ourppa.com as a free resourcefor information, commraderie and encouragement. No matter what topic interestsyou, Certification, Print Competition, Posing and Lighting, Weddings,Portraits, Seniors, Children, Equipment, Business and Marketing, there is sure to be a lively discussion going on.
